Servicing the Tri-state area for over 50 years, we know the best way to install your commercial and parking lots and ensure the best quality workmanship and design. We first remove the old asphalt down to the sub level and cart away the material. Then we apply 3-6 inches of RCA gravel blend to the driveway. We feel as a company that the RCA gravel blend actually compacts the fastest. Also the reason we say 3-6 inches of gravel is because we don’t know what is underneath the driveway and won’t know until we rip up the asphalt. Then afterwards our paving machine lays a minimum 3 inch cap of FABC asphalt. After compaction we require a minimum of 3 days of no driving to allow the asphalt to cure properly. We found that this process creates a new parking lot that withstands the tests of time and weather.
Whether there’s massive erosion, small potholes or the beginning of a crack, there is no job too big or small for us. With commercial and parking lot repair projects, we can either fill in existing damage with hot asphalt, or we can use a demo saw and cut out the damaged area into a square shape and replace the damaged section. To insure proper stability and ensure duration of the repair work we also apply hot rubberized tar along the edges of the new asphalt.
With resurfacing work one of the main questions people ask is will there be a bump or a lip pulling into the lot or driveway entrance, and the answer is no. The first thing we do is cut out with a demo saw or use a pick to take out the old asphalt by the garage and driveway entrance to ensure for a smooth transition for the new material that will be laid. We then apply a tac coat which is like a sticky glue substance for asphalt to mend the 2 layers of asphalt together. We will also then lay a minimum of only 2 inches or more of FABC asphalt. Then after compaction we require 3 days of no driving to allow the asphalt to cure.
